Days One Hundred and Fourteen and One Hundred and Fifteen
Yesterday was not the best day on the diet. Not bad, but not ideal. I had an election night party with some friends of mine and ended up eating way too much. The only thing I ate that was not acceptable on the diet was BBQ Pork with a small amount of very sweet sauce. Unfortunately, I still grazed on the food table all night, so I will probably pay for that.
My South Beach Diet Meal Journal for Tuesday as is follows:
- Breakfast – One cup of steel cut oats and one small turkey sausage.
- Mid-morning snack – One apple with two tablespoons of natural peanut butter.
- Lunch – One can of tuna and a cup of black-eyed peas. I also had a small sliced tomato. I thought I had eaten the last of the tomatoes, but we still have a few turning red. I cannot believe it.
- Mid-afternoon snack – One apple and two boiled eggs.
- Supper and beyond – BBQ pork, grilled pork tenderloin, and green beans. I just ate way too much.
- Miscellaneous – I had three or four glasses of diet, caffeine free coke. I did not have enough water.
Today was far better, although I overate for lunch. I am traveling today, so it is a little harder. Tomorrow I am also traveling, but I should be home tomorrow night.
My South Beach Diet meal journal for today is as follows:
- Breakfast – One cup of steel cut oats and a small turkey sausage.
- Mid-morning snack – Two boiled eggs.
- Lunch – A salad with ranch dressing, two thin, small chicken breasts, and two servings of grilled vegetables. This was really good, but I ate too much.
- Mid-afternoon snack – One apple.
- Supper – A t-bone steak and a small helping of steamed vegetables. These were not nearly as good as those I had for lunch. I also had a salad with chipolte Ranch dressing.
- Mid-evening snack – Nothing. I am feeling pretty hungry right now, but I am stuck at a hotel with no store nearby. I guess I will just suffer through it.
- Miscellaneous – I did not have near enough water today.
Yesterday I had my bloodwork done for my annual physical, and I got the results of this today. It looks pretty good, but I am not going to post the results yet because the lady I spoke with gave me some indications that she may have not known what she was talking about on part of it, so I am going to wait until I hear the doctor’s report before I post the results. That should be friday night.

Hey Steve. You are always so good! Even your slipups are itsy bitsy, and ussually just over eating, versus eating improperly! Mine are always eating improperly which off course leads to overeating crap!
Has work slowed down yet? When does it pick back up?
Keep going! You are truely AWESOME!

Oh, I have also noticed that you eat less no that you aren’t exercising! While I am sure that part of this is a concious effort on your part, I am also sure that it is also because you body isn’t requiring as much food, and you therefor are not as hungry. Just wanted to pat you on the back for al this time that you thought you were overeating, but it very well could have been that you needed it all along.

Jeannie, I can always count on you to make me feel better about things. Thank you.
Work has not slowed down yet, even though it should have by now. I had to go out of town for a day this week, which always makes for a busier week. Next week is my other busy week. After that, things should slow down for a while. Of course, that could all change. I am trying to hire a new employee. If I hire that person, things will be busy for months while I train them.
Regarding the portions – I have noticed them being smaller, but part of that is indeed me consciously trying to eat smaller portions. I think some of it is because I am not exercising too though. Speaking of that, I have got to start back. I knew getting out of the habit was a bad thing.

Ha Ha, just count on me as your personal cheerleader! : ) honestly you do so well, that I just have to remind you of all your accomplishments!
How are your lungs feeling?
Your right, it is hard to get back into a schedule of working out after a break. It took me a while to get back to working out everyday, but I did. It feels great! Once you get started you will feel better (as long as your body can handle it!).

My lungs are feeling better. I think I am ready to start back up. I just don’t want to push it, especially in the cold weather.
