Busy Monday

Today has been a crazy day.  My laptop died at work a couple of weeks ago, so I have been using a loaner.  Well, today they were configuring my new laptop, and I had to give up my loaner.  So basically I had to work using a very old desktop all day, which has none of the normally software or configurations I use.  It sure made for a long day.  Fortunately my new computer will be waiting for me when I arrive tomorrow morning.  For the geeks out there, it is Windows 7, 64-bit with 8 Gig of ram.  Woot!

My goals report for the day is as follows:

  • No unrecorded eating - No unrecorded eating yesterday.
  • No eating after 7 PM (unless it is dinner, which means I worked late) - No eating after 7 PM today other than one cherry tomato.
  • Four days of weight loss portions for all meals - Weight loss portions for two meals today, maintenance for the other.
  • No meals above maintenance portions - No meals above maintenance today.
  • Do three days of push ups – Not today.
  • Exercise a minimum of four days - One day down.

My eating report for the day is as follows:

  • Breakfast - One egg, several cherry tomatoes, and two peppers.

  • Lunch – Chicken, black cherry tomatoes, a Tennessee Cheese pepper, and a cucumber.
  • Dinner - Meatballs in tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  • Mid-evening Snack – One cherry tomato.  :-)

My exercise report for the day is as follows:

I began the day with the long Intu-Flow joint flexibility routine.  I then jumped rope for three sets, 75 jumps a set.  I ended the workout with a one mile walk with Minnie Pearl.

If you are like me, I love sugar-free popsicles.  Unfortunately, they still have some ingredients I prefer not to have.  I have made my own before, but only in ice trays.  I saw this nifty little plan the other day to make sugar-free popsicles using a vacuum sealer.

  1. All of those cherry tomatoes look delicious!

Way to go on the working out today.

Meatballs and sauce with cheese sounds like something I need to make soon.

Thanks Kimberley! Both the cherry tomatoes and the meatballs and sauce with cheese were outstanding!

  2. I’ve got tech envy Steve. I’d love to have 64bit and that much RAM. I multi-task too much and my PC drags.

I also just bought a skipping rope to try on my holidays and so far I haven’t been too successful with it. Is there a certain length it needs to be? I’m short and it’s too long but I don’t know how much to shorten it!

I sure never thought they would approve this one. I use a lot of RAM for part of my job, and I think they got tired of hearing me whine about it. :-)

Regarding the jumprope, step on the middle of it with one foot, then pull the handles up in front of you. The ends of each handle should touch your underarm.

  3. Your exercise looks really good, Steve! Way to go.

And it’ll be so nice to finally get a powerful machine again–especially compared to that ratty old desktop, huh??

    Thanks Beej!

I am going to hang on to the ratty old desktop too. It has been a good backup for me.

  4. Crazy how important our computers are isn’t it? So annoying when you don’t have the right equipment.

I think it’s funny that you ate 1 cherry tomato as an evening snack! What on earth made you stop with just one?

I don’t know what I would do without my computers at home or at work.

Re: the cherry tomato – I really didn’t mean to eat anything that late, but as I was smoking tomatoes I popped one in my mouth. As soon as I did, I realized what I did and refused to eat another. :-)

  6. A tomatoey day then? Those tomatoes look real good. I was fortunate to find some organic cherry tomatoes this weekend and can’t wait to eat them. Tomorrow.

I have a lot of tomatoey days in the summer. It is so hard to pass up those garden ripened tomatoes. Mmmm!
