  2. I really like the tone and feel of this video Steve. You are a bit more relaxed and conversational than in recent videos. Great message too!

  3. Great message Steve. Is it that mild there or did you make this video before the cold set in?

It is so true that every body has its own way of working. WW might work for some, Jenny Craig for others etc. For me right now the SBD is working wonderfully. I am so glad I came across your blog and glad that you did that guest post explaining the SBD in detail. Yahoo!!!

Things like WW or counting calories would never work for me as I would feel restricted. If I feel hungry I want to have the option to eat. But that is what works for me.

It has been very cold here (5 degrees Fahrenheit), but it was about 40 degrees the day I did this, which was Saturday of this past week.

  5. Steve, this is so important, not only if the food or exercise program does not work for you BUT, like me, as we age, our bodies change, women’s hormones & bodies change immensely, so you have to be prepared to mix it up, try different things. change the food or exercise plan to accommodate this. This is something that works life long to be prepared to make changes if that bod is not responding to your existing plan OR if we just need something else to motivate us.

    Good one!

I can’t wait to read about it Jody.

  6. Great message Steve. I think we can get so fixated on the idea that a certain diet or exercise is the “answer” that it can be hard to try new things.

When my progress slows for several weeks and I can honestly say that I haven’t been “cheating” then it is time to try something new. Those old tapes may start playing that say I am a “failure” but I have learned to ignore them.

When I first started, I was obsessed with the idea of running again and didn’t see myself strength training to the degree that I am doing now. I feel like this is really helping me so I am glad I tried it!

Thanks Steve, for another fantabulous message!

I know I have been this way in the past Lori-Ann, focusing only on what I saw others do that worked. We have to be honest with ourselves, and I think it is important for us to watch what is happening close enough to honestly evaluate it.

  7. Yeah, I think it is time for me to mix it up, to use a backup. My running has been all I needed for the past year and a half but now, I am finding real struggles with any more progress in the loss department. To many back and forths and stalls. So I think bringing weight lifting back into my workouts will be what I need to do.

Your posts are so great. I can see how you are doing so fantastic in your toastmaster speeches! You are a natural. :)

  8. Steve,

Thank you for posting this! I am beginning to plan around my “Plan A”. Because I realize that one this journey, I am going to need to keep changing and evolving in order to stay with it. What might work today, might not work 50 pounds from now.

I have added your blog to my sidebar of daily inspiration! :)

    Have a wonderful day!
