Even though I couldn’t drag myself out of bed when I wanted to, I was able to get up early enough to get a great 3.4 mile walk in. I knew I wouldn’t have time for other exercise today, so I really pushed myself on this walk. As a result, I logged my best time yet for a walk – 3.4 miles in 48:57, or a 14.29 second mile. I know that is not winning any races, but I have struggled hitting the 15 minute mile mark with my walks, so I was exceedingly happy!
Eating was also great today. Breakfast was an apple with three plus tablespoons of Super Pecan Butter, one small turkey sausage, two fresh peppers, and a small tomato. Lunch was a small portion of roast pork, three fresh peppers, and a fresh tomato. Mid-afternoon snack was a white cucumber with salt and pepper. Supper was one bratwurst with sauteed vegetables from the garden and some cherry tomatoes mixed with a little olive oil and basil. I couldn’t ask for anything more than this.
We picked some interesting tomatoes tonight. I am not sure what they are, but they are more orange than red. I haven’t taken a picture of them as they are not the best looking tomatoes (this year has produced some rough looking ones so far), but maybe the taste will be great. I should know tomorrow.
The only frustration today was trying to set up an OpenID tonight. There are a few blogs that I want to comment on which do not allow name/URL comments. As a result, I feel I am not able to support these folks like I want to. Anyhow, I thought I had this set up properly, but it is sure not working. Right now I am too frustrated to mess with it anymore tonight. Maybe tomorrow night I will see what I am doing wrong.
