Wednesday’s Word of the Day – Change

Believe it or not, this is a new WWotD video!  Don’t expect a typical SBS video though, this one is different.  More subdued, more introspective, more erratic than normal, yet the message is important.

Day 180

What a day!  Not totally a bad day, just a long day.  I have owed one of my sons some attention lately, so we spent the afternoon working on a webpage for him.  He is only ten, so it was really me working on the webpage.  I have also had to work on that same computer that I worked on yesterday again today.  Apparently I did not get it totally fixed yesterday.  Grrrr!  It is almost done now though.

My eating today has not been the best – not really bad, but not the best.  I had a community breakfast that my wife and I cooked for this morning.  The food was great, but I ate a little too much.  I don’t think I really hurt myself though.

Once again, I did not walk.  I really didn’t think I would get a chance to after I found out about the computer I had to work on.  I am not sure I will get a chance to tomorrow either.  I will do a push up test tomorrow though.  I think I may be able to get 50 consecutive push ups in.  At least I hope I can.  My oldest son and I did split a little more wood today.  The smaller logs like the one shown in this picture aren’t too bad, but the huge logs are just about impossible.  The one posted on 365daysofme is a little larger and you can see the debris flying off a little more.

This is my oldest son splitting a log.

My South Beach Diet Meal Journal for the day is as follows:

  • Breakfast – Eggs, bacon, and one piece of sausage.  I really have no idea how many eggs or bacon I had.
  • Mid-morning snack -One lf cheese stick.
  • Lunch – Eggs and four pieces of bacon.  Yeah, I know this sounds strange after having it for breakfast, but it was good!
  • Mid-afternoon snack – An apple with two tablespoons of natural peanut butter.
  • Supper – One bowl of chili.  I really, really want another, but I am trying my hardest to stick to one.
  • Mid-evening snack -The night is not over, but I have no intent on eating anything else.
  • Miscellaneous – One cup of coffee with Splenda.

One last thing – do you ever get frustrated trying to peel boiled eggs?  I do!  This is a little trick I ran across some time back, and I was once again reminded of it via email tonight.  I have to admit, I haven’t found this to be as easy as he indicates, but the baking soda is a great idea that does make a difference.

Tomorrow is weigh-in and measurement day.  I am feeling really good about this one (yes, I have peeked).  Let’s hope it goes as well as expected.

One last thing, I have added an ‘Exercise Tracker’ at the bottom of the sidebar.  I looked for a plugin that would do this in a better format, but I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for.  If someone else is aware of a good WordPress Plugin for tracking things like this, please let me know.
