I took today off from work to spend a little time from the family. While I didn’t do all my exercise routine this morning, I did do 120 push ups (22, 30, 20, 20, and 28). I really struggled getting numbers 27 and 28 of that last set in. I rested 120 seconds between sets. I also did the same routine with leg lifts, but I only rested 30 seconds between sets. Although I didn’t walk as part of my routine, my wife and I went to a local festival this morning and according to my pedometer we walked about 3.5 miles. I don’t think that is totally accurate as I was taking smaller steps that I do when I normally walk, but I am sure I at least walked 2.5 miles.
- Breakfast – 1/2 a serving of Uncle Sam cereal with a cup of ff milk, two scrambled eggs, and two small turkey sausage.
- Mid-morning snack – Two low-fat mozarella cheese sticks.
- Lunch – A bowl of leftover chili, two small sirloin steaks, 1/4 cup of sweet peas, 1/4 cup of brown rice.
- Mid-afternoon snack – Nothing.
- Supper – One large sirloin steak and one very small sirloin steak, a large serving of steamed broccoli and cauliflower, sauteed onions and peppers on my steak.
- Mid-evening snack - One large serving of broccoli and cauliflower with 2% Velveeta on top. I probably had too much Velveeta, but it was so good. I also ate a bite of leftover sirloin steak. I may also eat a late night snack of yogurt, Jello powder, and flax seed.
- Miscellaneous – I did not have enough water today. I don’t know why I have been struggling with this so much lately, but I have to get back in the swing of things with this.
