As you can imagine, there is a story behind the new workout. A little over a week ago I was contacted by Jerry at Flexsolate regarding his Gym in a Bag. Diane at Fit to the Finish had was in the middle of a Gym in a Bag giveaway, and I had made a less than positive-sounding remark, doubting the usefulness of this product, at least for me. Nevertheless, Diane’s positive remarks about the product made me curious. In an effort to assist me in my journey to fitness, and I am sure to also prove the value of his product, Jerry agreed to send me a Gym in a Bag at no cost for me to try. It arrived last week, and I spent part of the weekend reviewing how the product works, as well as the recommended exercises. Today I did some sets of exercises just to get a feel for the product. My intent is to give this an honest try for 30 days, documenting my experience here. This will start tomorrow (so today is a freebie
).
I have to say, my first impression is positive. I have been wanting to start some sort of strength training, but I don’t want to join a gym. I have been toying with starting one of several different programs, many of which you may see in the coming months, but for now it is Gym in a Bag. So far the big positive of the product is that it really feels like a workout and the exercises are simple to do. The only negative I have so far is that it is a little more difficult to position the door attachment for some exercises than I would like, but nothing unbearable. Again, so far I am a fan. I am anxious to see if that is my opinion in a week.
On a slightly different note, my quarterly meeting went great yesterday, which is always a relief. Eating has been so-so at best. However, the biggest stress of my job is past me for the quarter.
Sorry I haven’t been visiting many blogs lately. This quarterly meeting has resulted in some extremely long hours on top of some other personal things I have been having to deal with lately (nothing bad, just life). I should make it around to some of your blogs tomorrow evening. I kind of feel behind on things right now.
