EatSmart Precision Premium Digital Bathroom Scale Review

I was given the opportunity recently to review the EatSmart Precision Premium Digital Bathroom Scale, and let me tell you, I have been impressed!  Do you want to see why?  Check out my video review below:

If you are interested in getting an EatSmart Precision Premium Digital Bathroom Scale of your own, check out their deal at Amazon.com, from which they are donating the sale proceeds to a different charity monthly (March is the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society).

*Note: The kind folks at EatSmart donated this scale to me for my review and use.  Even so, all comments in this post and the related video are mine alone, and were nothing short of honest.  If my opinion on the scale changes over time, you can rest assured that will be posted here as well.

Focus, focus . . .

I don’t know what was going on with me today, but I couldn’t stay focused for anything.  I hate it when that happens.  I honestly think I haven’t been getting enough sleep, and that may have been playing a role in this.  While my deadlines for the quarter have passed, I can’t let too many days go by where I don’t accomplish enough.

Eating was good today, although not great.  I have continued the trend of the last two days eating maintenance portions.  That doesn’t work for weight loss.

On the flip side, I did exercise though.  Today was my first official workout with the Gym in a Bag.  So far, so good.  Today I focused on the arms and shoulders, and I can sure tell it this evening.  I only worked out for about 25 minutes, which is partially attributed to my inability to get out of bed, but quite honestly, that was probably enough for the day.  I did learn something though.  I am going to have to be sure to plan the workouts out better.  It wastes a lot of time moving the attachment from the side of the door to the top of the door, and attaching the bar and wrist cuffs unnecessarily.  While there are some exercises that I like the wrist cuffs on, so far I like using the bar better.

Tomorrow I am going to do abs and legs.  For abs, I plan on doing a couple of exercises recommended with the Gym in a Bag, but I will also do planks.  I plan on using the Gym in a Bag for the legs though.  Quite honestly, I am not nearly as excited about the leg day, but I am still going to give it an honest effort.

The New Workout

As you can imagine, there is a story behind the new workout.  A little over a week ago I was contacted by Jerry at Flexsolate regarding his Gym in a Bag.  Diane at Fit to the Finish had was in the middle of a Gym in a Bag giveaway, and I had made a less than positive-sounding remark, doubting the usefulness of this product, at least for me.  Nevertheless, Diane’s positive remarks about the product made me curious.  In an effort to assist me in my journey to fitness, and I am sure to also prove the value of his product, Jerry agreed to send me a Gym in a Bag at no cost for me to try.  It arrived last week, and I spent part of the weekend reviewing how the product works, as well as the recommended exercises.  Today I did some sets of exercises just to get a feel for the product.  My intent is to give this an honest try for 30 days, documenting my experience here.  This will start tomorrow (so today is a freebie :-) ).

I have to say, my first impression is positive.  I have been wanting to start some sort of strength training, but I don’t want to join a gym.  I have been toying with starting one of several different programs, many of which you may see in the coming months, but for now it is Gym in a Bag.  So far the big positive of the product is that it really feels like a workout and the exercises are simple to do.  The only negative I have so far is that it is a little more difficult to position the door attachment for some exercises than I would like, but nothing unbearable.  Again, so far I am a fan.  I am anxious to see if that is my opinion in a week.

On a slightly different note, my quarterly meeting went great yesterday, which is always a relief.  Eating has been so-so at best.  However, the biggest stress of my job is past me for the quarter.

Sorry I haven’t been visiting many blogs lately.  This quarterly meeting has resulted in some extremely long hours on top of some other personal things I have been having to deal with lately (nothing bad, just life).  I should make it around to some of your blogs tomorrow evening.  I kind of feel behind on things right now.  :-)
