Almost Through – Hot 100 Update

Yesterday sure didn’t feel like a Sunday to me.  Maybe that is the reason I totally forgot about giving a Hot 100 update.  This past week was a tough week for me.  I really came to a further realization how much weight I have gained, which is depressing to be honest.  Fortunately, I am past that now.  I am now revving up the engine for a good 2012, which doesn’t begin January 1st – it begins today.  I can’t worry about the ground I lost over the last two years: last year with regards to fitness, and this year with regards to weight.  I have to look to the future and move forward.  That begins with the Hot 100 plans for this last week of the year:

  • 180 push ups
  • 60 jumping jacks
  • 4 full sets of one minute planks (front and sides)
  • 210 toe raises
  • 90 curls
  • Walk three miles
  • Eating (6/7 at 6/10)

I didn’t do so hot on my goals this week, although I guess I hit many of them.  Not hitting the eating goals took away from it all though.

  • 180 push ups – 195 & DONE
  • 60 jumping jacks – 60 & DONE
  • 4 full sets of one minute planks (front and sides) – 4 & DONE
  • 210 toe raises – 210 & DONE
  • 60 curls – 60 & DONE
  • Eating (7/7 at 6/10) NOT DONE!

That’s it for today.  Be sure you head over to both Leah‘s, Pippa‘s, and Jody‘s blogs and offer them some encouragement.

Hot 100 Update

Well, this hasn’t been the best week.  I didn’t hardly meet any of my goals, partly due to my knees being sore, partly due to me totally blowing it on the eating.  I kind of feel like I am at the bottom of the barrel right now, which is not where I like to be.  The only good thing about that is that all you can do is go up from there.  I am keeping my goals the same for this week, with a few exceptions due to the knees and my need to do better at eating:

  • 180 push ups
  • 60 jumping jacks
  • 4 full sets of one minute planks (front and sides)
  • 210 toe raises
  • 60 curls
  • Eating (7/7 at 6/10)

That’s it for today.  Be sure you head over to both Leah‘s, Pippa‘s, and Jody‘s blogs and offer them some encouragement.

Hot 100 Update

It seems I have the exercising down pat for now, but the eating is my area of struggle.  Grrr!  This week needs to be better.  Here is the report for the week.

My computer is acting quirky right now, and I can’t get my records pulled up for the week  Just know that I hit or exceeded all the goals except for the eating.  Grrr!

The goals for this upcoming week are as follows:

  • 180 push ups
  • 180 jumping jacks
  • 4 full sets of one minute planks (front and sides)
  • 210 toe raises
  • 60 curls
  • Eating (7/7 at 5/10, 6/7 at 6/10, 4/7 at 7/10)

That’s it for today.  Be sure you head over to both Leah‘s, Pippa‘s, and Jody‘s blogs and offer them some encouragement.

Catching Up on Things – Hot 100 Update

I cannot believe I haven’t posted an update all week.  It has been a week full of things I wanted to talk about on here too.  I’ll just cover the most important two: my physical and the Hot 100 update.

This past Tuesday was my annual physical.  I’ll be honest, I was pretty nervous about it this year.  I have gained a considerable amount of weight since my last physical, and for the most of the year I have not been exercising like I should.  I was pleasantly surprised though.  I last had my bloodwork done in April of this year.  My total, LDL, and HDL cholesterol at that time were 216, 144, and 49; now they are 169, 96, and 42.  I wish the HDL had stayed higher, but my ratios are now better.  My Triglycerides in April were 113, now they are 157.  That is probably the biggest disappointment.  I am sure it is directly aligned to my weight.  My blood sugar was just about the same.  In April it was 104, Tuesday it was 106.  My blood pressure in April was 150/90 – Whoah!  Tuesday it was 140/80 – still not where it needs to be, but much better.

Now for the Hot 100 Check-in:

  • 180 push ups == Su: 90, Mo: 0, Tu:  60, We:  0, Th: 60, Fr: 0, Sa: 0 {Total: 210 and DONE}

The goals for this upcoming week are as follows:

  • 180 push ups
  • 180 squats

  • 210 toe raises
  • 60 curls}
  • Eating (7/7 at 5/10, 6/7 at 6/10, 4/7 at 7/10)

Hot 100 Update and More

I can’t believe my week off from work is almost over already.  We have been so busy every single day that I don’t really feel like I enjoyed much downtime.  Even so, it was nice having the time off.  I have already scheduled another week off between Christmas and New Year’s Day.  Does anyone else out there do this – try to schedule their vacation around holidays?  I like what seems like more bang for the buck on consecutive days off, even though you really aren’t getting anything extra.  Besides, for me anyway, the holidays are typically slower times at the office, so it is less likely I will be interrupted during my vacation.

I will have to hit the ground running tomorrow though.  My quarterly meeting that I often write about on here is just over a week away, which means I have a lot to do in that period of time.  Oh well, at least I won’t be bored, right?  :-)

Tuesday is my annual physical, which means tomorrow is when I go for bloodwork.  I have to admit, I am a bit nervous this year.  I have gained way too much weight, which is likely to have an impact on my overall health.  I am turning this around though.

Since it is Sunday, it is the day I update my Hot 100 goals.

  • 180 push ups == Su:65, Mo:0 Tu: 90, We: 0, Th: 60, Fr: 0 {Total:215} *DONE*
  • 180 squats == Su:0, Mo:65, Tu: 0, We: 60, Th: 0, Fr: 60 {Total:185} *DONE*
  • 6 full sets of one minute planks (front and sides) == Su: 2, Mo: 0, Tu: 2, We: 0, Th: 2, Fr: 0 {Total:6} *DONE*
  • 210 toe raises == Su:0, Mo:100 Tu: 0, We: 50: Th:0, Fr: 100 {Total:250} *DONE*
  • 60 chair dips == Su: 0, Mo: 0, Tu: 0, We: 0, Th: 0, Fr: 0 {Total:0} *NOT DONE*

My goals for the upcoming week are just a little different, and as you can see, I am getting more serious on the eating.

  • 180 push ups
  • 180 squats
  • 6 full sets of one minute planks (front and sides)
  • 210 toe raises
  • 60 curls
  • Eating (7/7 at 5/10, 6/7 at 6/10, 4/7 at 7/7)

That’s it for today.  Be sure you head over to both Leah‘s, Pippa‘s, and Jody‘s blogs and offer them some encouragement.
